Cody: I noticed you've been doing a lot more self-promotion lately.
Caleb: Yeah. I hate it.
Cody: You've increased your likes, follows, and look at this! You sold a few dozen e-books! Congratulations are in order. Why do you hate it?
Caleb: Every time a fan reaches out and tells me they loved one of my books, every time a royalties check hits my account, and especially every time I promote myself, I hear a little voice in my head telling me, "It's only a matter of time before they realize you're not a real writer."
Cody: There's a name for that, it's called Imposter Syndrome, it's evil, and you need to find a way to power through, my friend. You write, you publish, therefore you are a real writer. Start acting like it and stop letting insecurity keep you from enjoying your success.
