Kate: Good ideas are a fleeting thing anymore. No matter what you think up someone's thought it already.
Caleb: Yeah, and someone else predicted it wouldn't work, and why, and is there saying, "I told you so."
Kate: Double entendre here: when I think up good ideas and don't write them down, they get away. My mind just erases it like it didn't even happen. Like short-term memory, good ideas are fleeting.
Caleb: (raises a glass to toast) Here's to our short-term memory: it'll be the first thing to go.
