Caleb: I grew up in the Jesus Bubble. I don't go to church anymore, but one of the verses that always stuck with me was Philippians 2:3-4. "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others."
Kate: It's no surprise it stuck with you; you're a people person. I see you trying to live this with your words and your actions every day. You don't seem happy about it though.
Caleb: I've been giving my time, energy, and resources for the sake of others. Putting others first at the cost of my own wellbeing. My dad taught me when I was younger that you teach people how to treat you. I feel like I teach people to take advantage of me, and all it's done is land me an award for Best Supporting Actress in my own life.
Kate: Don't lose sight of who you are or compromise your integrity. Compassion is not a sign of weakness, but of strength. Never let someone stand in the way of being true to yourself, honey. You are what you love, not who loves you.
