Kate: What did you learn from the year twenty-eighteen?
Caleb: I learned there’s no such thing as a perfect marriage.
Kate: Go on.
Caleb: When you’re married, it’s impossible not to hurt one another. All of your insecurities and shortcomings are inflicted upon this person ceaselessly. They never get a break from the real you. It’s why we work to better ourselves, and why it’s important to find someone willing to do the same. As long as we’re both trying, it might never be perfect, but it will be good. And it will be all the more satisfying because we made it that way together.
To you, my love, and for you forever,
I’ll stand and I’ll stay.
The day I met you all my dreams came true.
